The Department is headed by the Director, who represents the structure for all legal purposes and guarantees its autonomy and cultural unity.
For the pursuit of its institutional tasks, the Department is endowed with organisational and administrative autonomy with regard to all expenditure, contractual and contractual measures that directly concern it, with both public and private entities, in compliance with the laws in force, excluding, however, the possibility of administrative measures of a general nature or relating to matters reserved to other bodies identified for that purpose by the Statute of Sapienza.
The organs of the department are: the Department Council, the Director and the Advisory Committee. The Director of the Department is assisted in the management of the Department's activities by the Administrative Secretary, who is responsible for the Administrative Secretariat and coordinates the administrative-accounting activities, assuming responsibility, jointly with the Director, for the resulting acts.
The Department of Economics and Law was created in 2010 through the merger of the Department of Public Economics with the Department of Economic Law. Both departments have origins dating back to the birth of the Faculty of Economics.
The Governance of the Department is composed by:
- Director
- Department Council
- Department Committee
- Responsabile Amministrativo Delegato (RAD)
- Previous Directors
