The Master’s Degree in Health Economics, delivered entirely in English, provides an advanced multidisciplinary education in the fields of health economics and policy, statistical analysis of health data, management of public and private healthcare organizations, public health, and health law.

The programme is designed to develop both theoretical and practical skills necessary for the analysis, evaluation, and management of healthcare systems and services. It places particular emphasis on the interaction between public and private actors, the use of quantitative tools in health policy analysis, and the adoption of evidence-based approaches in the governance of healthcare systems.

Thanks to its international outlook, the programme aimed at a broad and diverse audience of students, both Italian and international, fosters a global learning.

The programme also promotes the development of transversal skills, such as teamwork, the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholders, and adaptability to different institutional and cultural contexts, through practical activities including laboratories.

Graduates will be qualified to take on positions of responsibility in public and private healthcare organizations, companies operating in the health sector, research institutes, and institutions – both national and international – involved in health policy and management. Career opportunities include roles such as health policy analyst, health economist, advisor to regulatory authorities, expert in the economic evaluation of health interventions, healthcare project manager, and researcher.

The programme also offers a solid foundation for further academic training, including access to PhD programmes in economics, public health, or public policy.
